Day two...

For several years of my life as a young man, everything I touched turned into gold. I was successful at whatever I put my hand to. And with each success my personal opinions increased in value. I was pretty good at hiding arrogance behind confidence, but had this continued unchecked… it would have eventually become necessary to start paying people if I wanted to keep them as friends.

Day three...

“Gwen grew up on this land. Every ravine, every rock formation, every grassy slope, every cluster of trees… every detail as familiar today as it was back then. Day eight...

People say, “Go get cleaned up so I can love you.” God's says, “I love you; let's get you cleaned up.” People want you to get your act together so they can love you. God wants to love you so you can get your act together.

Day nine...

It's wonderful when something we need to hear in the Bible just comes to life, as if God is speaking directly to us:
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28 NLT).”
